Job Title: Wellhead, Xmas Tree and WAG Manifold Lead
Location: Paris, France
Assignment Type: Residential
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: Annual renewable contract
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
Overview
A prestigious global energy operator is seeking a highly experienced Wellhead, Xmas Tree and WAG Manifold Lead to join a high-profile deepwater development programme currently in execution. Based in Paris, this position offers the opportunity to work on an industry-leading subsea production system (SPS) project, collaborating across drilling, completions, and subsea teams to deliver high-integrity, technically complex solutions.
Scope of Services
The successful candidate will lead the design, engineering integration, testing, and validation of wellhead systems, production guide bases, tubing hangers, Xmas trees, and water-alternating-gas (WAG) manifolds. A key aspect of the role is to ensure seamless interfaces between drilling and completion operations and standardised SPS equipment.
You will support the delivery of critical rig operations documentation, oversee engineering and testing strategies, and coordinate the manufacturing and validation of bespoke subsea hardware – all while maintaining the highest HSE standards and contributing to broader project goals related to schedule, cost, and technical quality.
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide technical leadership for wellhead, Xmas tree, PGB, tubing hanger, and WAG manifold systems.
-
Define, coordinate, and validate all interface engineering between drilling/completions and SPS equipment.
-
Collaborate with rig operations teams to secure readiness and compatibility of equipment across all drilling phases.
-
Support and participate in the creation of comprehensive rig books covering all SPS-related activities.
-
Oversee and validate the design, manufacturing, and testing (fit-up, stack-up, integration) of WAG manifolds and related components.
-
Contribute to test engineering, installation planning, and procedural development for WAG manifolds.
-
Maintain alignment with project objectives in terms of HSE, technical compliance, cost efficiency, and schedule adherence.
-
Promote and uphold ethical conduct, anti-corruption policies, and company values across all activities.
Project Environment
This role supports a major offshore development project within a complex technical and regulatory environment. The programme involves deepwater field development using a floating production system and a comprehensive subsea infrastructure. The goal is to maximise value through reserve optimisation, efficient execution, and reduced environmental impact, particularly in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.
Candidate Profile
-
Extensive technical background in wellhead, Xmas tree, and subsea production systems, ideally within deepwater environments.
-
Proven expertise in the interface between SPS and drilling/completion operations.
-
Minimum of 20 years’ professional experience, with at least 15 years within complex energy projects.
-
Previous experience on major offshore projects using standardised SPS systems is strongly preferred.
-
Strong understanding of engineering, fabrication, testing, and offshore operational constraints.
-
Committed to HSE excellence, ethical integrity, and collaborative project delivery.
If you are an experienced subsea and well equipment specialist looking to contribute to a world-class offshore development, we welcome your application. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-calibre project team working on one of the industry's most exciting new developments.
