Job Opportunity: Welding Engineer (Offshore & Pipeline Expertise)
We are looking for a highly qualified Welding Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. This role focuses on offshore projects, including platforms, jackets, topsides, and pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in welding engineering, materials science, and mechanical engineering, along with significant offshore experience.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, particularly with offshore projects (platforms, topsides, jackets) and pipeline systems.
- Expertise in corrosion-resistant materials and welding processes used in offshore environments.
Certifications:
- International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP) certification.
- American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) certification.
Core Responsibilities:
- Offshore Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience with offshore installations, including welding and materials specifications for jackets, platforms, and pipeline systems.
- WPS/PQR Review: Review and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) to ensure full compliance with engineering standards and industry regulations.
- Inspection & Integrity: Conduct detailed inspections to ensure the integrity and compliance of welding procedures, materials, and structures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to provide technical guidance on welding, materials selection, and integrity management for offshore and pipeline projects.
