Job Purpose

      Responsible as VMT for T&I Pipelay and shore approach activities.

To interface with EPC Contractor on matters related to pipelay, trenching, beachpull and backfilling scope of work

Supervise and monitor the EPC contractor, to ensure pipelay and shore approach are conducted safely and appropriately in compliance with contractual agreement and industry standards

Provide Pipelay and shore approach technical support to the Shared resources & PMT

Work with EPC contractor's installation team on work procedure development, contructability and HAZID

Review EPC contractor Pipelay and shore approach work procedure

This position is offshore based however, personnel are required to travel to other worksite when requested by Shared resources & PMT

As needed, personnel may be requested to assist subsea contruction activities on DSV/CSV

The personal will be assigned CSR onboard construction vessel / barge

      Working in a challenging major EPC project environment. Develop and maintain constructive and positive relationship with worksite stakeholder personnel to achieved assigned goal.

Lead and promote safe delivery of construction activities within approved procedure and schedule

Assist with problem solving utilizing prior experience

Main focal point on construction activities at assigned worksite

Company focal point and team leader on assigned worksite

Key Job Accountabilities

      Monitors contractor construction operation performance

Implementing the Construction Surveillance Program for pipelay, beach pull and structures installation to confirm that construction activities are compliant related approved specifications and procedures; work procedure, QHSE documents etc.

Assist  share resources team and PMT  with planning, procedure review and technical support of matters involving Pipelay, lifting, shore approach. 

Acts as the focal point between the operator and the contractor particularly for offshore SIMOPS and PTW interface.

Trained and qualified as COMPANY host for endorsing PTW

Promote COMPANY safety and quality expectations at worksite

Participates in the development of all work documents to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of shore approach, pipelay and lifting activities

Stewards in the management of change process and is the Company point of contact on the worksite for all site queries./ MOC

Participate in root cause investigation and  incident investigation for offshore installation activities; pipelay, lifting, beachpull and etc

Be the accountable person for the safety, health, environment and security for all aspects of the execution of the work scope on the offshore vessels.

Oversee EPC contractor worksite requirement on  documentation and reporting.

Undertakes daily walk-through observations of operational areas, to check on progress, safety and housekeeping.

Attend daily vessel progress meeting with EPC contractor and PMT morning call

Ensures that any events evaluated during Risk assesment processes, or that are raised during safety meetings, are stewarded and closed prior to the start of each critical scope.

Keep detail dairy covering offshore activities

Contribute to project lesson learnt program.

 

Qualifications

      Demonstrate extensive experience on large heavy lift and pipelay installation Vessel/ Barge.

OPITO approved BOSIET and Medical for offshore assignment

Knowledge and/or Experience

Minimum 15  years experience in offshore pipelay, lifting activities, of which at least 5  years as  CSR onboard offshore construction barge / vessel .

Vast knowledge and understanding of marine installation operation involving DP2 Lay Vessel / Barge, anchor handling, shore pull and etc

Up to date knowledge on industry pipeline installation and repair techniques; welding, NDT, FJC and etc

Knowledge in ROV operation for pipelay and subsea construction,

Broad knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with offshore greenfield and brownfield modifications and working within a gas production facility.

Technical and Business Skills      

      Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Strong technical and problem solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in spoken and written English

Good coordination, influencing and interface skills.
