Contract Duration: 18 Month Initial Contract (Expectation of further extension)

Location: Initial 6 Months in Poland (Exact Site TBC) and then the role will move to Rotterdam, Netherlands

Type of Contract: Residential

Work Schedule: 5 days a week / 10 hours a day

JOB DESCRIPTION

Client are actively seeking to recruit a highly motivated & experienced Structural/ Welding QC Inspector.

The Structural/ Welding QC Inspector will be a professional responsible for testing, inspecting, and evaluating the integrity of structures such as Module and Piperack Structures, Pipelines, Storage tanks, Pressure Vessels and all other Equipment used in operation.

The Structural/ Welding QC Inspector shall ensure the various structures and equipment utilized in extraction and processing comply with industry standards and regulations. Following inspections, the Structural/ Welding QC Inspector shall also communicate any potential safety threat for immediate corrections required.

The duties of a Structural/ Welding QC Inspector are crucial in preserving safety and compliance in the industry as well as the long-term sustainability during operations. The following are the significant responsibilities attached to the office of the Structural Inspections:

The Structural/ Welding QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all structural welding activities meet the required standards and specifications, ensures that all welding work is performed to the highest quality and safety standards. The role will involve conducting inspections, reviewing welding procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Identifies welding defects through initially visual inspections, & through the application of Non-Destructive Examination processes and reporting and providing recommendations for corrective actions. Also having excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to quality and safety. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

SPECIFIC QC RESPONSIBILITIES - STRUCTURAL INSPECTION

·       Constantly examine the structural integrity of structures and equipment used in the industry.

·       Maintain a detailed record of every inspection result and any alteration made to any structure.

·       Review technical drawings and other engineering data and see that each structure is built according to specifications.

·       Conduct risk assessments, implement management measures, and reduce the possibilities of accidents and hazards.

·       Responsible for inspecting the structures to ensure they comply with the industry safety regulations and standards.

·       Report inspection and test results to management and other relevant parties, such as the contractors and engineers.

·       Provide technical assistance to the engineering and maintenance department whenever consulted.

·       Ensure every work is done according to the guidelines, codes and regulations and that all necessary documentation is in place.

 Specific QC Responsibilities - Welding Inspection

·       Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specifications.

·       Review welding procedures and ensure adherence to industry standards.

·       Monitor welding activities to ensure quality and safety.

·       Identify and document welding defects and non-conformities.

·       Provide recommendations for corrective actions to address welding issues.

·       Collaborate with welders, engineers, and project managers to ensure quality control.

·       Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.

·       Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

·       Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.

·       Prepare inspection reports and documentation.

·       Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.

·       Provide training and guidance to welding personnel on quality standards.

·       Participate in project meetings and provide input on welding quality issues.

·       Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

·       Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in welding technology.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.

·        Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.

·        Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

·        Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.

·        Strong organizational and time management skills.

·        Ability to work in various environments, including construction sites and manufacturing facilities.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

·       A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any related field.

·       Experience working in the oil and gas related industry.

·       Good knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

·       An experience with structural design construction

·       CSWIP 3.1 Welding/ CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector/ IWI/ IWE

·       Minimum of 10 years of experience in welding inspection and quality control.

·       Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and standards.

·       Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.

·       Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
