Role Summary:

This position provides in-depth technical expertise for telecommunication systems to support key business functions. The individual will contribute to project delivery under clear accountability frameworks and independently manage tasks to meet objectives and performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and control telecommunication hardware and software across local and wide area networks, including virtual environments.
  • Provide technical expertise for the application of operational procedures and train colleagues in proper practices.
  • Configure tools to automate provisioning, testing, and deployment of telecommunication infrastructure changes.
  • Plan and implement system installations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Assist in the development of telecommunication system designs, addressing objectives, scope, and requirements.
  • Manage lifecycle stages of telecommunication software, hardware, and transmission media for simple systems and support more complex projects.
  • Execute small-scale projects or sub-projects, identifying and managing risks and issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents in accordance with agreed procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, IT, or Telecommunications.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in IT and Telecommunications, ideally within regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of core applications, tools, and international IT standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and IT support.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to risk management and compliance with security principles.
