A leading multinational organisation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Control & Planning Manager to join their dynamic team in Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale industrial engineering projects, supporting greenfield expansions and manufacturing facility developments.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Control & Planning Manager will be responsible for coordinating and integrating project planning from feasibility assessments through to production. This role requires close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring clear visibility of project status, financial accuracy, and timely intervention to manage deviations from the project baselines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interface with and integrate various site project timelines in coordination with project managers, engineering teams, and EPCM partners.

  • Serve as the primary contact for engineering project control, ensuring accurate budgets, forecasting project expenses, and optimising execution within financial frameworks.

  • Manage project financials, including monthly accounting in SAP, WBS-level forecasting, and leveraging historical data to benchmark budgets.

  • Develop forecasting models (GR/IR/PT) to anticipate project expenses and maintain budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support procurement activities within projects, including procurement planning, purchase orders, material receptions, and cost forecasting.

  • Drive expansion projects that align with long-term business growth strategies.

  • Lead Agile Sprints for optimising Project Portfolio Management tools (Planisware) and ensure seamless integration with Azure DevOps for digitised planning processes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage a cost control process, ensuring alignment between actual expenditures and approved budgets.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, technology utilisation, and productivity.

  • Capture user feedback and document lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in Project Control, Planning, or PMO roles, with at least 5 years in Automotive (APQP) or Materials/Mining Industry.

  • Experience working in an EPCM environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or Planisware V7 is essential.

  • Expertise in Power BI, MS Excel, and Tableau for data analysis and dashboard reporting.

  • Thorough understanding of industrial project management, including construction, civil engineering, electrical, piping, process equipment, and start-up activities.

  • Experience in project cost control within an industrial setting.

  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related applied science.
