Senior Instrument Engineer – Remote Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instrumentation expertise and guidance to maintenance and operations teams across designated sites.
- Manage emergent and planned engineering issues, ensuring a balance between safety and commercial priorities.
- Ensure compliance with Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, Explosive Atmosphere, and Power Distribution Systems.
- Lead small-scale projects from concept to completion, overseeing budgets and ensuring engineering standards are met.
- Conduct failure investigations, develop strategies for obsolescence management, and contribute to high plant availability.
- Support maintenance organisation, cost reduction, and risk management in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Assist in implementing plant safety schemes and ensuring compliance with regulatory recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance CMMS while staying updated on evolving industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct audits, contribute to technical meetings, and review relevant policies and procedures.
- Mentor and develop graduate and assistant EC&I engineers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or HND in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Experience working within Functional Safety Management Systems.
- Previous experience in asset optimisation and on-site support.
- Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, with remote support capabilities.
- Hands-on operational experience in power generation, chemical, or COMAH-regulated sites.
