Role Overview:

The position is responsible for effective communication and coordination between suppliers and internal stakeholders. This involves facilitating the flow of information, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment on expectations. Regular communication with suppliers is key, along with maintaining documentation such as schedules, bills of materials, and drawings as per purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop or modify an expediting plan based on project criticality ratings.
  • Identify and monitor critical supply chain milestones to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Review inspection reports for compliance and resolve any non-conformities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, track project progress, and communicate status to the project team.
  • Coordinate with logistics, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to address any issues.
  • Provide system updates on delivery status and assist with purchase order closeout.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on established metrics for continuous improvement.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficient in reading technical purchase orders and specifications.
  • Capable of evaluating multiple alternatives and determining the best approach.
  • Familiar with packing and shipping processes, customs, and transportation logistics.
  • Experience with project management tools, SAP, Documentum, and MS Office.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for degree holders or 7 years for diploma holders.
