Job Title: Senior Consolidation Manager
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Assignment Type: Contract (Initial Short-Term Assignment until 31/07/2025 – Possibility of Extension)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Consolidation Manager to join a leading multinational organisation based in Brussels. This role is ideal for a financial expert with strong IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Role Overview
The Senior Consolidation Manager will be responsible for overseeing key consolidation tasks for the Group’s monthly financial reporting, ad-hoc IFRS analysis, and externally published financial statements. This role requires strong technical expertise in consolidation, accounting, and financial reporting under IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities

Play an active role in the consolidation process, including equity reconciliation, consolidation elimination entries, and intercompany reconciliation.

Perform controls on consolidation packages to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Provide support to remote sites as required.

Act as a liaison with the tax department to ensure optimal tax reporting in compliance with legislation.

Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management.

Contribute to digitalisation and automation initiatives, supporting the implementation of new consolidation tools.

Ensure compliance with IFRS in all accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting activities.

Assist in IFRS analysis for business transactions and assess their impact on Group accounts.

Maintain SAP account structures to align with the Group chart of accounts.
Additional Responsibilities in Case of Acquisitions

Support the computation of the opening balance sheet in line with IFRS.

Ensure seamless integration of newly acquired entities into the consolidation system.

Train new team members as needed.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consolidation, accounting, or external audit, with strong IFRS expertise.

Solid technical background in accounting, IFRS, consolidation, and tax.

Proficiency in financial and consolidation tools such as IBM Cognos Controller and SharePoint. Experience with ERP systems like SAP is a plus.

Education & Language Requirements

Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience.
