Renewables Risk Consultant – Remote
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Renewables Risk Consultant to join a leading consultancy, providing expert advice and risk assessment services across the global energy sector. This role offers the chance to work with international clients, delivering technical insights and innovative solutions to manage risk in the renewables and power generation industries.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead client relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering consultancy services, including underwriting surveys and insurance market reports.

Provide training, workshops, and technical support to clients, sharing industry-leading expertise.

Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop new business opportunities on a global scale.

Build strong connections within the international energy insurance and engineering communities, promoting risk engineering programmes.

Assess and evaluate potential risks at all stages of project lifecycles, proposing effective technical solutions.
About You:

Extensive experience in power generation (conventional or renewable) or electricity transmission, either in a consultancy role or as an asset operator.

A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards professional accreditation.

Proven ability to produce high-quality written reports within structured templates and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (around 80 days per year).

Adaptability to take on new challenges beyond previous experience.

Fluent in spoken and written English; additional language skills in Spanish or French are advantageous.
