Job Title: Project Procurement Lead
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8 Hours per day)

We are seeking a Project Procurement Lead to join a forward-thinking organisation that is revolutionising sustainable industrial production. This is an exciting opportunity to lead procurement activities for a major construction project in Northern Sweden, working at the forefront of innovative and environmentally conscious manufacturing.

The Role

As Project Procurement Lead, you will take ownership of strategic sourcing projects, ensuring procurement aligns with project timelines and objectives. You will collaborate with engineering and construction teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders to secure best-in-class procurement solutions. Your leadership and commercial acumen will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing projects for equipment and contractors, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare well-reasoned recommendations for award decisions, based on strong negotiation outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as the commercial lead for assigned scopes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within project budgets and supplier markets, proactively seeking value improvements.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams, including Technology, Commercial, Construction, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Your Background

  • A results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A degree in Engineering, MSc, MBA, or a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of procurement experience, including 5+ years in a capital projects environment.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills, with experience in managing complex supplier agreements.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in digital procurement tools and e-tendering platforms.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Procurement experience in large-scale construction projects.
  • Background in manufacturing, heavy industry, or industrial production.
  • Experience delivering large international CAPEX projects.
