Job Title: Project Leader - Port Infrastructure

Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract Position

Location: Stockholm/ Boden or Piteå, Sweden (Candidate can choose preferred work location)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (9 hours per day)

Rotation: If necessary we can offer rotation for this role. 6 weeks at Site (5-6 days a week as required) and 2 weeks home working with leave to be agreed

Kintec are currently partnered with a pioneering Green Steel Production Company who are constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel - Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO ₂ compared conventional steel production.  

JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Leader - Port Infrastructure

We are strengthening our infrastructure team with an External Infrastructure Project Leader for port infrastructure to help get all the port infrastructure in place that will be necessary for us to be able to start producing green steel in Boden in 2026.

The infrastructure projects will be handled by the municipalities and municipality-owned companies in close dialogue with CLIENT. The infrastructure is critical for CLIENT operations but could also be utilized by other users with operations in the relevant areas.

In the role of Project Leader for port infrastructure, you will play a key role in making sure that the Infrastructure needs of CLIENT are being met. This will mean creating alignment internally and understanding what our requirements/needs are from a technical perspective and then building relationships with key stakeholders at municipalities, the county administrative board, government bodies and agencies and main suppliers.

You will report to our External Infrastructure Manager, and be a part of our Infrastructure team but also collaborate closely with functions like Public Affairs, Communications, Operations, Project Delivery, Legal and Finance.

Responsibilities:

 

     Manage the port infrastructure processes from a CLIENT perspective
     Ensure infrastructure is designed and built according to CLIENT needs through coordination between stakeholders from Operations and Project Delivery teams both internally and externally.
      Create work plans and monitor progress in dialogue with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the CLIENT Boden Project time plan

Monitor and manage project risks in dialogue with stakeholders

Lead the processes of setting up and negotiating service contracts with the main service providers of the port infrastructure in accordance with potential regulation and market best practice, in collaboration with other CLIENT functions such as finance and legal

Contribute to potential public procurement processes managed by external stakeholders

Qualifications:

      Academic education/ engineering or business

Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Swedish

Grit and resilience

Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build trustful relationships

Proven ability to manage projects related to planning, engineering, and/ or construction of infrastructure.

Nice to have

      Experience from working with public sector organizations

Swedish skills, in speaking and writing
