Job Overview
The Project Lead - Electrical Engineering is responsible for overseeing and executing critical electrical engineering projects within the steel manufacturing industry. This role entails managing all electrical and instrumentation aspects of production to support operational goals and optimize manufacturing efficiency. The Project Lead will leverage extensive expertise to guide project success, ensure technical excellence, and foster a culture of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities

Electrical Project Management: Lead electrical engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring that project deliverables meet timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.

Technical Expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation: Apply deep knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges. Oversee design, development, and implementation of electrical systems to enhance production processes.

Production Process Integration: Supervise the integration of electrical engineering projects with the full production process. Ensure electrical systems and instrumentation contribute to efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with departments such as production, mechanical engineering, and quality assurance to ensure cohesive project alignment and smooth operational execution.

Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior engineers, promoting skill development and a collaborative, high-performance engineering team culture.

Compliance and Safety Standards: Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company safety protocols across all projects. Promote a strong culture of safety and adherence to quality standards in all electrical engineering activities.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years in electrical engineering and project management, with considerable experience in a senior leadership capacity.
- Extensive expertise in the steel manufacturing industry, with thorough knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems within a full production environment.

- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to handle large-scale electrical engineering projects.
- Advanced knowledge in electrical and instrumentation engineering, specifically as applied to the steel manufacturing industry.
