Are you passionate about leveraging data science, machine learning, and performance analytics to optimize industrial asset portfolios? We are seeking a Portfolio Performance Analyst to drive data-driven insights, implement Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions, and support asset optimization strategies.

Role Overview

As a Portfolio Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing asset performance data, developing predictive models, and implementing digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in integrating machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and business intelligence (BI) tools into asset management framework.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Performance Management

  • Lead predictive analytics projects, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data mining, and AI-driven modeling for asset performance insights.
  • Develop and deploy neural network algorithms to collect and analyze structured and unstructured data from cloud and on-premise sources.
  • Create standardized and ad-hoc performance reports, benchmarking asset and portfolio performance against industry standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend data-driven strategies to enhance asset reliability and profitability.

Asset Performance Management (APM) & Digital Transformation

  • Manage the scalability and efficiency of APM and Data Science Machine Learning (DSML) initiatives, ensuring alignment with business plans.
  • Support the development and implementation of digitization vision, including automation and IoT-enabled predictive maintenance.
  • Ensure effective risk management and compliance with industry regulations through advanced performance monitoring and control frameworks.
  • Optimize APM and DSML workflows, ensuring seamless integration into SAP, Oracle, Maximo, and Microsoft Dynamics.

Financial & Compliance Oversight

  • Conduct financial modeling to assess asset profitability, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and budget performance.
  • Monitor financial and operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with data security protocols and regulatory standards across asset portfolio.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Development, Finance, and IT teams to ensure effective data integration across business functions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship on APM, DSML, and AI applications for asset management.
  • Engage with external investors, asset managers, and regulatory bodies to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Develop and implement leading and lagging performance indicators (KPIs & BPIs) for real-time decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-industry collaboration on ML-based asset performance optimization.
  • Prototype and deploy statistical models to uncover patterns and improve asset lifecycle management.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Master's or PhD in Engineering (Power/Water sector), Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years in large-scale industrial process plants, with expertise in performance analytics.
  • Proven experience in SAP, Oracle, Maximo, MS Dynamics, or equivalent ERP environments.
  • Strong background in financial and non-financial KPI analysis for asset optimization.

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Time-Series Analysis, and Data Warehousing.
  • Expertise in Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, and cloud-based analytics tools.
  • Experience in predictive modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, and stochastic calculus.
  • Strong IT project management experience in business intelligence and APM software implementation.
  • Knowledge of Kafka Streams, Azure AI, and IoT-based data acquisition.
