Planner – Offshore Wind Energy
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, UK | ⏳ April 2025 – December 2025 (Potential Extension) | Major Renewable Energy Project
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Planner to develop and manage integrated site plans and schedules for offshore wind operations and maintenance activities. This role will be instrumental in resource forecasting, demand planning, and optimizing site logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage long-, mid-, and short-term planning for all onshore and offshore operations.
- Forecast resource requirements, including vessels, personnel, spares, tools, and contractors.
- Propose innovative solutions to balance available resources against operational needs, maximizing efficiency and yield.
- Develop resource models to improve productivity and optimize workforce planning.
- Identify planning risks and opportunities in the site schedule, providing recommendations to site management on potential delays and operational improvements.
- Translate long-term strategies into actionable short-term/daily schedules, including transfer/PAX lists.
- Plan and coordinate logistics solutions to minimize travel times and maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP), ensuring accurate records of equipment, resource usage, and maintenance activities.
- Track and report progress on operations, maintenance, retrofits, inspection campaigns, and jack-up campaigns to site management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in project or resource planning within a complex industrial environment.
- Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Hands-on experience with planning and scheduling tools, including MS Project.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP or similar CMMS systems.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
