Piping Designer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and allocate sufficient space for operation and maintenance activities, including ladders, stairs, and service platforms.
- Ensure easy access to valves, flanges, joints, and instruments.
- Identify and propose suitable pipe support locations and spans.
- Prepare pipe support attachments and submit them to the Stress Analysis team for review.
- Model reserved volumes for equipment removal and maintenance spaces.
- Accurately transfer changes and mark-ups from personal copies to the Piping Master Copy, including P&IDs and equipment layouts.
- Ensure all model attributes are correctly filled in and validate line attributes only when the design maturity level is sufficient.
- Collaborate with the Pipi e that 3D piping models are clash-free by coordinating with other disciplines such as Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) and Structural.
- Design and model piping standard supports within the 3D model environment.
Skills & Requirements
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (e.g., PDMS, E3D, or similar software).
- Strong understanding of piping systems, supports, and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
