Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator to oversee and manage the PTW system for an offshore project. This role ensures that all permit-related activities align with client expectations, industry standards, and health, safety, and environmental (HSES) requirements. The PTW Coordinator will provide guidance, support, and training to offshore personnel, ensuring seamless permit processes and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
PTW Development & Implementation:
- Develop and implement a Permit to Work system in alignment with project and client requirements.
- Ensure the efficient use and availability of the PTW system in an offshore environment.
Permit Coordination:
- Manage the approval process and issuance of permits, ensuring all necessary authorisations are in place.
- Facilitate daily PTW coordination meetings and update work activity plans.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Assist performing parties in the planning phase, conducting permit reviews and ensuring appropriate risk assessments are completed.
- Conduct site visits and spot-checks to verify compliance with PTW procedures.
- Organise and conduct routine PTW audits, reporting findings and recommendations.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate PTW records and ensure compliance with documentation policies.
- Prepare and submit timely PTW deliverables as required by the project contract.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- Formal qualification in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) or Engineering (degree, diploma, or trade certification preferred).
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of PTW principles and ability to apply them to offshore project/site management.
- Experience in developing training sessions and delivering presentations.
- Proficiency in computer-based PTW systems and document management.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in oil and gas operations.
- At least 5 years' experience as a PTW Coordinator, having worked on at least two major offshore projects.
- Proven track record in managing and coordinating PTW systems (both paper-based and electronic).
- Experience in preparing job cards and work packs is desirable.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, contractors, and offshore personnel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
Additional Information
- The role will require initial deployment to Singapore to implement the PTW system before the project sail-away.
- Offshore work will involve site shifts and rotations as per project requirements.
- Ongoing vocational training will be required to stay up to date with HSES standards, industry principles, and regulatory changes.
