HR Business Partner
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent or Contract – subject to fit)

Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic HR Business Partner to join a forward-thinking organisation. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives on building strong stakeholder relationships and driving impactful people strategies. You will work closely with Heads of Department and Managers to support workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and organisational transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to departmental leaders and employees, offering independent guidance on all people-related matters.

  • Act as the custodian of people processes, ensuring consistency and compliance across the business.

Employee Relations & Policy Adherence

  • Build positive, constructive relationships across departments.

  • Address employee relations matters with fairness and impartiality, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.

Workforce Planning & Talent Management

  • Partner with managers to identify short- and long-term workforce needs, including hiring, internal mobility, and talent deployment.

  • Drive performance differentiation and support the implementation of a high-performance culture.

Change Management & Organisational Development

  • Play an active role in facilitating organisational change and restructuring efforts.

  • Support communication strategies and advocate people policies and practices that align with business goals.

Operational HR Support

  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (COEs) and People Services to provide efficient, scalable HR support and solutions.

Employee Experience & DE&I

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

  • Promote fair and transparent practices, while proactively managing employee feedback and grievances.

Compliance & Market Insights

  • Stay informed on employment legislation, market trends, and best practices to provide relevant insights and support to the business.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 6–8 years of experience in HR operations and/or HR business partnering.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

  • Sound commercial awareness

  • Excellent communication abilities

  • Solid knowledge of local employment law and HR best practices
