A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a leading infrastructure business operating across critical UK energy sites. Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.

Carry out maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and mechanical isolation equipment.

Perform dismantling, assembling, and securing of bolted connections using hand torque techniques.

Apply expertise in Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) to ensure compliance and best practices in maintenance activities.

Supervise contractors and oversee their work to ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Follow and contribute to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including permit to work processes, risk assessments, and method statements.
Minimum Requirements

A time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Hands-on experience working in continuous process or production environments.

Practical knowledge of hand torque bolted connections and best practices for assembling and securing mechanical components.

Experience managing and supervising contractors in an industrial setting.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures within a regulated industry.
