ROLE OVERVIEW

A leading offshore wind energy project is seeking a Marshalling & Logistics Lead to manage critical logistics and marshalling operations. This role will be key to ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and transportation of essential components, supporting offshore wind energy developments in Northern Europe. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing port operations, logistics strategy, and offshore installation coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define logistics scope interfaces and integrate project requirements.

  • Contribute to the development of the overall logistics strategy and execution plan.

  • Manage logistics activities from fabrication sites across Europe and Asia, including handling, lifting, and short-haul transport to installation locations.

  • Identify and select marshalling ports and oversee lease agreements.

  • Ensure readiness of marshalling yards, logistics services, and associated infrastructure.

  • Coordinate and monitor loading, unloading, and storage of wind turbine components.

  • Oversee lifting and handling operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with contractors, port authorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

  • Implement and maintain HSE policies, conducting audits and risk assessments.

  • Maintain accurate records, shipping documentation, and compliance with customs regulations.

  • Lead logistics personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (10+ years preferred).

  • Advanced expertise in marshalling activities and offshore logistics.

  • Proven experience in managing international logistics processes, tendering, and contract negotiation.

  • Strong knowledge of freight and goods transportation within the offshore wind or energy sectors.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse international teams.

  • Effective communication skills in English (German language skills are a plus).

  • Experience in developing logistics plans, procedures, and technical documentation.

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Certification in lifting operations.

  • Previous experience in offshore wind logistics.

  • Familiarity with industry safety and environmental standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is based in Paris, France, with potential travel within Europe, including Germany. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure, working within a highly skilled international team.
