Senior Engineer – Marine Operations

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Marine Operations to support complex offshore transportation and installation (T&I) activities. This role is with a globally recognised engineering organisation working on cutting-edge offshore energy projects. The position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will contribute to major offshore developments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer in Marine Operations, you will take a leading role in:

  • Engineering and execution planning for offshore transportation and installation (T&I) of:

    • Fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO/FLNG units, and subsea structures.

  • Developing and reviewing key project documentation, including:

    • T&I Scope of Work and technical specifications.

    • Installation schedules and procedures.

    • Interface and responsibility matrices.

    • Marine spread requirements for safe and efficient execution.

  • Preparing installation outline procedures for tendering purposes.

  • Monitoring project execution, conducting engineering reviews, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

  • Providing technical support during:

    • Technical clarifications and HAZID reviews.

    • Site queries and offshore management of change.

Experience and Qualifications Required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in preparing Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and managing offshore T&I contracts.

  • Direct experience across FEED and EPCI phases of marine operations projects.

  • Hands-on offshore experience as an Installation Contractor, Project Operations Engineer, or Company Representative.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of vessels, equipment, and installation techniques, including:

    • Offshore load-out, transport, installation, pre-commissioning, and hook-up.

  • Familiarity with international standards governing offshore structure installation.

  • Yard experience, including load-out, mechanical completion, and installation preparation (highly desirable).

  • OPITO certification (preferred) for offshore travel.
