Job Purpose

Seeking an experienced Marine Engineer with expertise in various vessel types (e.g., tugboats, pollution control vessels, jack-up barges) and marine infrastructure, such as breakwaters, piers, and dry docks. The candidate will review design documentation, material and equipment specifications, and provide technical solutions based on engineering standards and international codes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support project management by guiding the technical specifications and overseeing work element releases.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical documents and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Provide technical support to the project team and resolve discipline-specific engineering issues.
  • Ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

Educational & Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Naval Architecture
  • 10-15 years of experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design, ideally across Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design stages
  • Experience reviewing engineering documents and drawings, with knowledge of cross-discipline interfaces (e.g., E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process Safety)
  • Familiarity with modern marine systems and equipment technologies
  • Experience in Shipyards, Shipboard Operations, or with marine equipment vendors is preferred
  • Knowledge of review methodologies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA)
  • Proficient with industry-specific standards and procedures
  • Strong communication skills in English
