Job Purpose
The Marine Coordinator will oversee safety and quality assurance activities for all project marine units during the marine execution phase, acting as the focal point for the project. The role involves maintaining an effective marine assurance process for offshore operations, supporting integration with other teams, and ensuring compliance with maritime standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and compliance for all marine units, following international regulations and project-specific procedures.
- Guide project teams with expertise in maritime best practices and protocols.
- Address technical challenges in marine operations, providing solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Serve as the primary contact for assurance activities related to floating and marine assets.
- Actively engage in incident investigations and lessons learned to improve operations.
- Support vessel selection, mobilization, and demobilization processes.
Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to: Construction and/or Installation Manager.
- Interfaces:
- Internal: Project Management Team, Offshore Operations, and Marine Assurance Teams.
- External: Port Authorities, other Operators, Third Parties (e.g., Marine Warranty Surveyors), EPC contractors, and subcontractors.
Job Context
- Manage interfaces with key stakeholders to ensure marine operations align with project requirements.
- Address changing priorities and deadlines resulting from contractor schedules or emergent situations.
- Provide support for unplanned incidents without compromising ongoing activities.
- Contribute to maintaining a high standard of marine safety and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

- Conduct performance reviews for marine units post-charter.
Part B: Person Specification
Qualifications
- Master Mariner, Chief Engineer, or equivalent discipline.
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in marine and offshore operations, with extensive knowledge of offshore construction and vessel operations.
- Expertise in marine assurance and compliance processes, dynamic positioning systems, and international maritime regulations.
- Regional experience and Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) credentials are advantageous.
