Position: Lead Contract Administrator - EPC (N-1248)

Project: North Field Expansion - Onshore East Sector

Role Overview

The Lead Contract Administrator will oversee the post-award management and administration of the EPC contract for the North Field East Onshore sector. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of contract law, contract management, and project coordination to ensure adherence to all terms and conditions, monitor performance, and handle all relevant documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contract Correspondence Management: Effectively manage incoming and outgoing communications, ensuring all relevant stakeholders contribute to the review and drafting of responses.
  • Change Order Management: Oversee the evaluation, preparation, and approval processes for contract changes, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor the EPC contractor's performance to ensure alignment with contractual terms, both technically and commercially.
  • Insurance and Securities Oversight: Track the validity of insurance certificates and securities throughout the project duration.
  • Payment Milestone Verification: Ensure that all project payments are processed in line with agreed milestones and contract terms.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive registers for all contractual matters, including correspondence, change orders, insurances, and other related records.
  • Project Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of regular project reports and provide updates to key stakeholders.

Reporting Structure

  • Supervisor: Head of Contract Management
  • Internal Collaborations: Work closely with the project management team, legal, finance, and supply departments within the organization.
  • External Partnerships: Maintain communication with the EPC contractor, QatarEnergy, and relevant external bodies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in engineering, law, or quantity surveying.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience managing major oil and gas construction contracts, specifically in a post-award EPC environment.
