HR Manager – 6-Month Contract (with Extension Potential)

Location: Olen, Belgium (Hybrid – 2 Days Remote Work per Week)
Assignment Type: Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the People & Organisation (P&O) function at a key industrial site in Olen, Belgium. This is a strategic leadership role, working closely with business units and corporate teams to drive HR initiatives, talent development, and employee engagement.

The role offers a unique opportunity to shape and implement HR strategy, oversee social dialogue, and lead transformation initiatives within a dynamic and multinational organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the HR team on-site, supporting managers and supervisors in implementing HR strategies and fostering professional growth.
  • Act as a key representative in social dialogue, engaging with works councils, union delegations, and employee representatives to maintain constructive collaboration.
  • Mediate and resolve disputes, translating lessons learned into improved HR policies and best practices.
  • Drive change management initiatives, supporting business transformation and HR process improvements.
  • Oversee workforce planning, including succession planning, training needs, and talent development.
  • Build and maintain industry networks, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication, translating HR policies into actionable and engaging messages.
  • Act as a strategic HR partner, advising leadership on organisational and workforce-related decisions.
  • Contribute to regional HR strategy, working closely with the Belgian P&O management team and supporting cross-site projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in HR management, with a strong background in employee development and labour relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian social legislation and collective labour agreements, with proven experience in union negotiations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
  • Fluent in English & Dutch; proficiency in French is a plus.
