Job Title: Hook-Up Superintendent

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Hook-Up Superintendent to oversee offshore hook-up, installation, and commissioning activities for major capital projects in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive offshore experience in a supervisory role and a strong background in engineering, installation, and hook-up operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all offshore hook-up activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Supervise EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors involved in offshore LNG production facilities and other oil & gas projects.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of hook-up operations, including job card preparation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system handover.
- Ensure compliance with SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) and the offshore permitting system.
- Manage offshore lifting operations and marine units, including jack-up barge mobilization, operation, and demobilization, in coordination with Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS).
- Enforce industry and stakeholder specifications, ensuring best practices and compliance with relevant offshore regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the Project Management Team (PMT), contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide on-site problem-solving, technical guidance, and leadership to offshore personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure proper documentation, progress reporting, and compliance with offshore health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in offshore construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role handling engineering, installation, and hook-up operations for major offshore projects.
- Offshore Experience: Prior experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in the oil & gas sector, particularly in LNG production facilities.
- Certifications:
- Valid Offshore Survival Certificate (BOSIET or equivalent).
- Ability to pass an offshore medical evaluation.
- OPITO certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of offshore lifting, marine unit operations, and jack-up barge/MWS interfaces.
- Proficiency in industry standards, stakeholder specifications, and offshore commissioning processes.
- Full knowledge of SIMOPS and offshore permitting systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on teamwork and leadership.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure offshore environment.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Computer literacy in professional office applications and relevant industry-specific software.
