Job Title: Head of QA/QC – Pipelines

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head of QA/QC – Pipelines to lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for offshore oil and gas pipeline projects. The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background, extensive experience in quality management for offshore pipeline facilities, and a proven track record in delivering international pipeline projects from FEED to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the QA/QC strategy for offshore pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Lead the development and execution of External & Internal Audit Programs and Quality Surveillance Programs to ensure consistent quality performance.
- Provide quality leadership and guidance to the project management team, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Establish and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with welding, NDE (Non-Destructive Examination), and coating requirements for offshore pipelines.
- Manage and coordinate QA/QC teams, including welding inspectors, NDE inspectors, and quality engineers, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of quality performance.
- Conduct and oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality-related issues, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
- Lead and participate in project quality audits, ensuring findings are addressed, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices is maintained.
- Interface with stakeholders, contractors, and third-party inspectors, ensuring alignment with project quality goals and expectations.
- Ensure successful completion of offshore pipeline projects from FEED to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover.
- Report on quality performance metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education:
- BSc in Science or Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
- Diploma in Quality Assurance from a recognized Quality Institute (preferred).
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Accreditation & Valid ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate (preferred).
- CSWIP Senior Welding Inspector Certification with ISO 9712 NDE Qualifications (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in Quality Management for offshore oil and gas pipeline facilities.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale international offshore pipeline projects from FEED to commissioning and handover.
- Extensive knowledge of offshore pipeline welding, coating, NDE, and material specifications.
- Experience developing and delivering audit programs and quality surveillance programs.
