Job Title: Head of Subsea & Pipeline Integrity Engineering - North
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of pipeline integrity engineers, driving the implementation of cutting-edge Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS) and Emergency Pipeline Repair Systems (EPRS).
- Vision and Strategy: Develop and execute goals, objectives, and strategies for pipeline and subsea integrity programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and applying innovative technologies.
- Pipeline Integrity Programs: Oversee the development and execution of QG Pipeline Integrity Management and EPRS programs, ensuring all activities are executed with the highest safety standards.
- Budget Management: Manage an annual budget exceeding USD 25M for pipeline integrity underwater inspections and repairs, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Inspection Oversight: Plan and oversee subsea inspection activities, including ILI, ROV surveys, CP surveys, and anomaly assessments. Provide actionable recommendations for pipeline integrity improvement.
- Team Development: Foster the growth of team members, encouraging professional development and collaboration.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and SHE standards. Promote a culture of safety through field-based presence and active engagement.
- Technical Input: Collaborate with project teams to provide pipeline integrity input during design, construction, and commissioning phases of new projects.
- Incident Management: Lead RCFA, incident investigations, and SHE reviews. Oversee the implementation of recommendations and learnings to improve future operations.
- Contract Management: Manage inspection contracts, ensuring alignment with PIMS strategy and the selection of top-tier contractors for specialized tasks.
What You Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Structural, or Pipeline Engineering.
Experience:
- 10+ years in the oil and gas sector, focusing on pipeline operations, integrity inspections, corrosion, maintenance, and/or design and construction.
- In-depth knowledge of pipeline corrosion, failure mechanisms, and process safety.
- Proven expertise in risk-based integrity management methods.
Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools.
- Extensive knowledge of SHE standards in the oil and gas industry.
