Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid arrangement - 3 days in the Aberdeen office)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (8 hours daily)
Position Summary:
An established organization in the energy sector is seeking a seasoned Front-End Study Lead to spearhead a variety of multidisciplinary front-end studies in the Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) fields. This role is primarily focused on feasibility and conceptual studies, propelling projects through to the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase, and in some cases, including it.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute a series of multidisciplinary front-end studies, including feasibility assessments, technology evaluation, and conceptual design initiatives.
- Assess design alternatives and support the decision-making process to determine the most effective solutions for projects.
- Ensure comprehensive technical ownership and maintain the quality of key deliverables from studies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on process or mechanical engineering. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Professional Experience: At least 10 years in the upstream or midstream energy sector, with substantial experience in conducting feasibility studies and developing conceptual designs.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated ability in technology selection and option evaluation.
Work Arrangement:
This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the Aberdeen office three days each week.
