Kintec are currently partnered with a pioneering Green Steel Production Company who are constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel – Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO₂ compared conventional steel production.
Electrical Field Engineer (Electrical, controls and instrumentation)
As an Electrical Field Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the execution, commissioning, and quality assurance of electrical, controls, and instrumentation (EC&I) systems across all phases of the Boden project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a live mega-project, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and complex industrial environment.
You will play a key role in overseeing electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include site inspections, troubleshooting, technical support, and coordination with various stakeholders such as engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. Additionally, you will support the continuous improvement of processes related to electrical systems and contribute to quality control efforts across the project supply chain.
The role is based in Boden, Sweden, with travel to various contractor and fabrication sites as required.
Responsibilities:
- Being the link between design and construction
- Follow up design and construction, ensuring progress
- Tracking of constraints
- Working closely with the design team, EPCM, contractors and 3rd parties
- Tracking of design changes and RFIs and ensure expeditious responses
- Ensuring buildability and compliance to codes
Qualifications:
- Experience of large industrial projects with Nordic standards, within mining industry or oil and gas
- Deep technical knowledge and adequate competence within electrical engineering towards building construction
- The candidate should have their main competence within electrical engineering, but with a good understanding of controls and instrumentation as well
- We preferably see that the candidates have at least a few years of field experience
- The ideal candidate is persistent, responsive and cooperative
