Role Overview
Our client, a leading multinational power company, is seeking two consultants:
- Investment Costing Expert
- Change Management Expert
These roles focus on capital investment programs within the company, ensuring efficient costing methodologies, financial decisions, and change implementation. The selected consultants will analyze current investment costing processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in alignment with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Current Situation Analysis
- Conduct a detailed assessment of current investment costing processes.
- Map and analyze existing costing management practices within capital investment operations.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in costing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand challenges and gather requirements.
- Benchmark against best practices in investment management.
2. Action Proposal & Recommendations
- Develop an improvement strategy for investment costing methods, templates, and tools.
- Provide recommendations for enhanced costing efficiency, considering risk profiles, project size, and complexity.
- Suggest ways to integrate risk management, feedback loops, and cost tracking into investment calculations.
- Identify technical solutions or system support to streamline cost estimation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and corporate policies.
3. Implementation & Change Management
- Develop a detailed implementation plan, including timelines and resource allocation.
- Introduce a long-term evaluation framework to track improvements.
- Design and deliver training programs for staff on new costing tools and methodologies.
- Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes.
Skills & Qualifications
Investment Costing Expert:
✔ Specialist in financial costing, investment analysis, and cost modeling.
✔ Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial decision-making for capital investments.
Change Management Expert:
✔ Proven experience in leading and implementing change within large organizations.
✔ Strong background in process improvement, training, and communication strategies.
General Requirements for Both Roles:
✔ University degree in Investment Costing, Change Management, Finance, or related fields.
✔ Experience in capital investment projects (ideally in power, infrastructure, or industrial sectors).
✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
✔ Experience working with risk management, compliance, and financial forecasting.
Nice-to-Have: Prior experience in similar investment activities within large organizations.
