Assignment Type: Permanent Hire Staff Role

Location: UK; 100% Remote based role with Business travel

Package: Salary plus bonus of up to 100% of salary + additional benefits

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

 

Kintec are currently partnered with a leading global battery company which specialise in Energy Storage Systems (ESS)/ Connected Smart Energy (CSE)/ Aerospace, Defense, and Performance (ADP) and Industry, Mobility, and Infrastructure (IMI). They are currently recruiting for ESS Bid Manager to work in the UK (100% Remote).  

OVERVIEW

The Energy Storage Bid Manager manages all aspects of large Energy Storage Solutions projects bid, from customer requirements analysis to bid process management and Operation Hand Over. He will have to interact with various multi-discipline professionals: Applications Engineers, AC Team, Service Team, Purchasing, Legal, Operation, Subcontractors.

MISSIONS

Drive bidding and tendering process

Analyses customer requirements and stands guarantor that tenders will be achieved in compliance with the customers' requirements

Deploy and adjust answer strategy taking in account the inputs from the Sales & support functions (Marketing, Service)

Trigger tendering process (Go/No Go; Bid/No Bid/ Offer Review)

Establish total project proposal bid amount, including direct costs, subcontractor/vendor costs, overhead, other costs, contingencies, and scope exclusions

Establish a technical offer from a Solution Point of View (not product) that will address customer Business Case

Analyse the Risk on the Tender and Interact with Legal & Tax + propose in association with the Sales & Operations the Mitigation plan

Solicit and obtain quotes (coordinating with Purchasing) for subcontractors (PCS, EMS, Cabling, Installation, Civil Works, Switch gear).

Draw up a solution leading to optimum tender cost in order to end up a profitable order

Prepare offer and submit it through Sales

Support the Sales in the negotiation, notably for the contractual aspects

Transfer the Offer to the Operation Team

Take part in the Return Of Experience meeting following successful or failed tenders

DEPLOY PROCESSES

Propose of all necessary bid procedures, governance and processes/tools to ensure the compliance of our offer and minimize Tendering time to establish it (Costing sheet, Standard Offer, Suppliers Panel & Reference prices...)

Deploy Company Tendering Process and Tools (CRM Dynamics, ect.. )

Ensure sharing of Best Practices within the team

ADDITIONAL

Candidate needs experience in energy industry, contract knowledge, experience in bid preparation, negotiation with customers, ability to communicate, efficient.

Knowledge on BESS is a very strong plus, but not mandatory. Knowledge of inverters/PCS, PMS, MV & HV equipment is also a plus.
