Job Title: Senior FPSO Engineering Manager

Location: Malaysia

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior FPSO Engineering Manager to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering with extensive experience in FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the interfaces between topside and marine engineering, as well as comprehensive knowledge of various engineering disciplines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engineering Leadership:

    • Lead and manage engineering activities for FPSO projects, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet project requirements and standards.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  2. FPSO Engineering Management:

    • Oversee the engineering management of at least one FPSO project, ensuring successful integration of topside and marine systems.
    • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines, including process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, telecom, instrumentation, and marine engineering, to ensure seamless project execution.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant design codes and regulatory requirements for EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) projects.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations to ensure project compliance.
  4. Software and Database Systems:

    • Utilize engineering software and database systems to manage and track project progress, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
    • Implement best practices for the use of engineering tools and technologies to enhance project efficiency.
  5. Project Life Cycle Cost Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of total project life cycle costs and benefits, considering their implications during the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and EPCI phases.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and maximize benefits.
  6. Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
    • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to address project challenges and ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on FPSO projects.
  • Proven experience in FPSO engineering management for at least one FPSO project.
  • In-depth knowledge of interfaces between topside and marine engineering, as well as various engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of design codes and regulatory requirements for EPCI projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and database systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project life cycle costs and benefits.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry 
  • Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
