Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Leatherhead
Job Purpose
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring contractor compliance across multiple areas, including:
- Scope of Work adherence
- Compliance with Aramco and international standards
- Quality and optimization of engineering design
- Equipment manufacturing standards
- Engineering and procurement schedules
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Design Review and Documentation
- Review design packages for electrical systems and equipment (transformers, motors, generators, switchgear, MCC, distribution networks, etc.).
- Prepare Project Design Basis Document and project load lists.
- Develop technical reports and specifications for electrical equipment not covered in Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES) or Material Specifications (SAMSS).

Project Coordination and Management
- Manage electrical activities for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors during FEED and design phases.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to finalize the full Electrical Engineering scope.

Technical Analysis and Support
- Analyze major equipment selections and review responses to technical/site queries.
- Support and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for equipment.
- Monitor and review contractor work quality in coordination with Saudi Aramco PMT.

Standards Compliance and Assurance
- Ensure contractor design work meets Aramco standards, applicable codes, and regulations.
- Assist in evaluating Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and Award Recommendations (AR).
- Review and evaluate Change Orders for standards compliance and budget alignment.

HSE and Facility Integrity
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams to ensure project alignment with HSE standards.
- Provide technical assurance for electrical discipline deliverables.

Project Documentation and Improvements
- Prepare approval packages for electrical engineering prior to construction issuance.
- Recommend improvement solutions for installations or modifications.
Ideal Experience
- Experience with Offshore and Refrigeration Compressors, DBSP, ETAP, Power Systems, Switchgears, Equipment Schedules, ESDA, Design, One-Line Diagrams, Substation Layouts, and FEL3 Reviews.
Requirements
Education and Technical Qualifications:
- Experience: 10-15 years in design, engineering, and construction (Aramco experience preferred).
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or BA in Science with an Electrical focus.
- Certifications: Certified Engineer preferred.
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and other international standards.
- Control Systems: Proficiency in PSA, DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
- Software: Proficiency in ETAP (or similar software) and Microsoft Office.
