Electrical & Instrument Technician – Energy & Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out Planned Maintenance (PM) activities as per site maintenance schedules.
- Perform both preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate daily with permit signatories to prepare permit requests, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Maintain HV distribution systems, rotating equipment, and associated control systems.
- Write and authorise safety documentation for HV system work.
- Safely isolate electrical systems and maintain LV rotating equipment.
- Conduct maintenance on hazardous area equipment.
- Deliver solutions within agreed timeframes while ensuring cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in a continuous process or production environment.
- NVQ / Apprenticeship in Electrical or Instrumentation.
- Strong fault-finding, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow structured procedures and processes to meet operational targets.
- Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work, including permit to work processes, risk assessments, and method statements.
