ROLE: E&I Superintendent
Contract Duration: Initial 6 Month Assignment - Expectation of Extension
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

JOB DESCRIPTION
Safety and Compliance:
- Support, promote, and champion a positive safety culture, emphasizing safety as the top priority.
- Ensure the E&I Construction Contractor maintains a safe, clean, and orderly job site.
- Ensure all parties meet project safety requirements through safe work practices.
- Conduct weekly Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) inspection audits.
- Monitor and sign permit to work
- Organize and participate in weekly safety walks, track actions, and follow up with the E&I Construction Contractor.
Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) activities on-site.
- Provide technical and supervisory support, guidance, and mentoring to the contractor construction team.
- Encourage and promote communication and teamwork among all parties.
- Assist in developing strategies to improve contractor performance and interface coordination during construction activities (SIMOPS).
- Assist in the review and appraisal of method statements and risk assessments for technical content and safety considerations.
- Supervise supervisor staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Coordinate the interface between Vendor Representatives and the Contractor.
- Manage the Temporary Site Facilities' data and power networks, coordinating subcontractors and resolving site issues and requirements.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor the execution of works to ensure project quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with the quality department to support and assist with quality inspections.
- Monitor contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Coordination and Reporting:
- Continuously observe and monitor the interface of all construction activities for all disciplines, resolving any coordination issues.
- Assist in system walkdowns with the E&I contractor.
- Attend daily and weekly coordination meetings.
- Assist the AP Construction Manager in developing detailed daily reports on work assessment and contractor performance.
- Monitor and report on project progress for the E&I Construction Contractor.
- Assist the managing contractor in monitoring contractor productivity and progress.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
- Previous experience working in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, in the Oil and Gas industry.
Instrumentation and Electrical background
Previous experience in a similar role, on similar size projects.
VCA Certificate before starting work on site.
Language Proficiency: English (mandatory) ; Dutch (desirable but not essential)
