Role: E&I Engineer

Location: Iraq/Afghanistan

Duration: 3-6 Months (Potentially Longer)

Rate: Daily Rate (Negotiable)

Instrumentation / electrical engineer with gas turbine (Generator/electrical experience). Working on Alstom frame 5 gas turbines.

Essential Responsibilities -

  • Extensive experience working on Electrical and Instrumentation systems for Gas and Steam Turbines.
  • Familiar with the design, installation, and commissioning of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical equipment in turbine operations.
  • Hands-on experience in managing and executing Electrical & Instrumentation tasks during the start-up and commissioning phases of Gas and Steam turbines.
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and power systems related to turbine control.
  • Lead and supervise E&I technicians and craft labour during the installation and maintenance of turbine-related electrical and control systems.
  • Perform technical and administrative duties such as generating detailed technical reports, material requisitions, and project status updates.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination with OEM customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain strict adherence to EHS policies and ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and relationship management.

Qualifications/Requirements -

  • 3+ years of field experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering within the turbo machinery or industrial sector.
  • Experience working with Electrical and Instrumentation systems for Gas and Steam turbines, including commissioning and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits, PLC systems, and control instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical teams on-site with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desired Characteristics -

  • Hands-on experience with HMI, SCADA systems, and control systems integration in turbine applications.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Turbine Compressor Control (ITCC) and reciprocating compressors.
  • Background in Gas & Steam Turbines instrumentation and electrical systems, including previous training in these areas.
