I am currently looking to speak with a Day Instrument Technician  who will take up a position for our client based in Redcar.

Salary £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Pension + On-site

Client is a leading infrastructure solutions business and operator of several critical UK energy sites

Key Responsibilities

      Serve as the site Control and Instrumentation Technician, adhering to business, client site permits, and legislative standards.

Assist the team in implementing philosophy, strategy, actions, and compliance in all operational states.

Support the establishment of all E&M processes, systems, and contracts to identify and manage engineering risks, meeting business and legislative requirements.

Apply disciplined maintenance best practices and ensure clear communication, comprehension, and tracking of tasks by all relevant personnel.

Conduct programmed maintenance, defect rectification, troubleshooting, and project work on site instrumentation equipment.

Develop risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe execution of tasks.

Stay updated on key legislation (HASAWA, EAWR, DSEAR) to ensure compliance in all operations.

Provide guidance for major engineering and maintenance events, including planned/unplanned outages and shutdowns.

Support leadership with investigations, process improvements, audits, and communication around procedural actions and incident management.

Minimum Requirements

      Completed an apprenticeship in Engineering or Control & Instrumentation, or hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field.

Experienced in a 24/7 industrial setting, performing investigations, troubleshooting, planned repairs, predictive and preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and fault finding.
