Overview:

This role is a key part of a team focused on driving forward innovative industrial projects with reduced environmental impact. The position will involve close collaboration with technical, procurement, and execution teams to ensure optimal outcomes in contract negotiation and risk management. The Contract Manager will provide oversight of commercial, technical, and operational contract aspects, engaging with diverse stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all contract-related inquiries, providing clarity on issues before and after contract execution.
  • Oversee contract project management within assigned areas, applying short-interval controls for contractor performance.
  • Lead cross-functional negotiation teams to develop strategies, manage complex contract negotiations, and oversee strategic projects and supplier meetings.
  • Use expertise to guide technical and procurement teams in improving contract structures and business models.
  • Identify and manage risk areas throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in engineering, law, or economics (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Proven experience in managing construction contracts or equipment installation agreements.
  • Background in project management with a focus on contract negotiation and administration.
  • Skilled in navigating complex negotiations with confidence and competence.
  • Experience working in multicultural, cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on solutions and problem-solving.
  • Effective communicator with strong influencing and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Detail-oriented and systematic in approach, with the ability to balance technical and legal considerations.
  • Proven ability to reach compromises and manage competing stakeholder interests.
