Position: Contract Advisor – Oil & Gas (Contract/Permanent)

We are supporting a leading organisation in the Oil & Gas sector, looking for a Contract Advisor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in contract application across multi-disciplinary projects and services, particularly in the Oil & Gas environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Contract Application & Strategy: Develop, execute, and implement the agreed Contracting Strategy for Maintenance, Projects & Programs services contracts, ensuring contracts align with business objectives and deliver maximum commercial value.

Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including procurement, projects, maintenance, technical teams, operations, and contractors, ensuring strong relationships and effective collaboration throughout the contract lifecycle.

Procurement & Tendering: Interface with procurement teams during tender preparation, negotiations, and contract implementation, ensuring contract terms are effectively communicated and agreed upon.

Change Management: Lead the management of change (MoC) processes for the implementation of new and existing site contracts, ensuring that changes are optimally executed to maximise commercial value.

Compliance & Commercial Support: Oversee contract compliance, ensuring contracts are executed according to agreed terms, and provide ongoing commercial support throughout the contract lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement: Promote contract improvements through peer assists, benchmarking, and collaboration with relevant teams to ensure continuous improvement in contract execution and performance.
Key Requirements:

Extensive Experience: Significant experience in contract application within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in multi-disciplinary projects and services.

Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior business line contract owners.

Procurement & Contract Lifecycle: Proven experience working in cross-functional teams, managing procurement processes, and leading negotiations and contract implementation.

Change Management: Experience in leading management of change (MoC) processes, specifically in the context of site contracts and ensuring commercial value is maximised.

Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial background with the ability to drive improvements and efficiencies through effective contract compliance and execution.

- Completion of tender processes and implementation within agreed timelines.
- Positive customer satisfaction with the contract structure and execution.
- Clear alignment and understanding of contract terms across all Business Line Contract Owners and Contracting Groups.
