Job Purpose
Seeking an experienced engineer in Telecommunication systems (Data, Radio, IP Telephony, LAN, and Voice alerting/conference systems) to support the Project Management Team. Candidates should bring expertise across FEED and EPC project stages and a thorough understanding of engineering and construction processes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide effective technical solutions to engineering challenges.
- Assess technical capabilities of manufacturers within telecommunications.
- Conduct project-related technical studies and generate reports.
- Review engineering designs, EPC purchase specs, and vendor documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, operations, and procurement.
- Work closely with EPC contractors to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements for communication systems.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
Educational & Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience in Telecommunication Engineering, preferably in oil and gas
- Proven expertise in instrument selection for process applications
- Knowledgeable in telecommunications materials and hazardous area design
- Familiarity with international standards (ISA, ANSI, API, NFPA, IEC)
- Field experience with Telecommunication systems in industrial settings, particularly during plant construction, commissioning, and start-up
- Proficiency with office and technical software
- Familiar with industry-specific standards and procedures
