Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | Travel required between site and HQ

Role Overview
As a Civil & Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in one of the most ambitious green steel projects to date. Based within the Owner’s Engineering Team, you will oversee the civil and structural design of the steel mill facilities in Boden, ensuring effective coordination between internal stakeholders, EPCm partners, and OEM contractors.

You will act as the technical authority within your discipline and represent the client in all engineering-related matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead civil and structural design activities across assigned project areas.

  • Serve as the primary contact for civil and structural scope—internally and externally.

  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry codes, and local regulations (including Scandinavian standards).

  • Coordinate with EPCm and OEM partners to deliver fit-for-purpose, cost-efficient, and timely design packages.

  • Review and approve engineering documents, technical specs, and deliverables.

  • Support the development and implementation of engineering standards and procedures.

  • Monitor progress, quality, and interfaces, providing clear reporting to the Area Design Manager and Central CSA Lead.

  • Contribute to solutions during construction phases with a deep understanding of field realities and sequencing.


Required Experience

  • Significant prior experience working on large-scale industrial capital projects.

  • Proven expertise in the design and implementation of heavy civil and structural systems, including steel and concrete structures.

  • Familiarity with Scandinavian building codes and standards is essential.

  • Experience managing and guiding EPCm partners across multidisciplinary projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction constraints and sequencing within major projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain engineering assurance in fast-paced, complex environments.

  • Recent experience with contractor oversight, field engineering, and quality control in execution phases.
