Mechanical Commissioning Engineer (Shift Leader) – Combined Cycle Power Plant

Contract Duration: 3 Months (Flexible)
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to take on a leadership role in the commissioning of a gas-fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP). This is a critical opportunity to play a key role in system start-up, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation while leading a team through the commissioning phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a commissioning team, including shift operators.
- Oversee the mechanical commissioning of gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and balance of plant (BoP) systems.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with safety regulations and technical standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to optimise system performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and OEM teams to ensure a seamless commissioning process.
- Document findings, maintain detailed records, and support the handover to operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the mechanical commissioning of CCPPs.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing shift-based teams.
- Hands-on expertise in gas turbines, steam turbines, and HRSG systems.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts if required.
- Availability to start as soon as possible for a 3-month contract.
