Job Title: Accountant

Job Purpose
The Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the timely delivery of financial insights. The role supports organizational decision-making through the analysis of financial data, preparation of detailed reports, and implementation of robust accounting practices aligned with industry standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Record-Keeping
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and related financial reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Ensure all financial data is recorded correctly in designated accounts, maintaining integrity in ledgers and journals.
- Provide periodic reports comparing actual financial performance to budgets and forecasts.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets; highlight variances and explain deviations between actual and budgeted figures.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, and revenues to forecast future financial outcomes and support strategic planning.
Systems & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and improve record-keeping and accounting systems to ensure efficiency and real-time reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), local regulations, and internal financial controls.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and support external audits with required documentation.
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, or risks and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare customized reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, using ERP systems for real-time insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Certification:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of total working experience.
- At least 3 years in a relevant accounting role.
- GCC experience (minimum 2 years) is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting methods, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting.
- In-depth experience in accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and tools; ERP knowledge is essential (preferably SAP).
- Knowledge of banking procedures and financial market operations.
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis tools.
